Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Brainfront (“the game”) is operated by Novos Verity, (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the game collects when you play, why, and the choices you have. Contact: contact@brainfront.dev.

What we collect

Your player profile

When you start the game we create a player profile with a generated display name (or the name you choose), your avatar, your language, your country and matchmaking region, and your progress: rating, level, XP, coins, cosmetic items and daily missions.

  • If you play as a guest, we identify you by a random token stored in your browser (through the CrazyGames data storage or your browser’s local storage). We keep only a hashed copy of that token.
  • If you are signed in to CrazyGames, we receive your CrazyGames user id, username and profile picture from CrazyGames, so your progress follows your account. We do not receive your email address or password.

Gameplay

For each match we store the players, the questions asked, your answers and response times, scores, territory and the result. We also keep a history of the questions you have seen (so you are not shown the same ones too often), any question you report, and the rewards you claimed, including whether you watched an optional rewarded ad.

Leaderboards

Your display name, avatar, rating and weekly score can appear on public global, regional and weekly leaderboards, and are shown to opponents during a match.

Usage events

The game sends events such as “match started”, “question answered” or “reward claimed” to our servers, linked to your player profile, to understand how the game is played and to improve it.

Technical data

Our servers see your IP address when you connect. We use it only to protect the service from abuse (rate limiting) and keep it for a few minutes for that purpose. Our request logs do not record IP addresses.

We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number or precise location, and the game has no chat.

Why we use it

  • To run the game: create your profile, match you with opponents in your region, run matches, keep your progress and rewards, and show leaderboards (performance of our agreement with you to provide the game).
  • To keep the game fair and safe: prevent cheating, abuse and fraudulent rewards (our legitimate interest).
  • To understand and improve the game and its questions (our legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

  • CrazyGames, which hosts the game, provides sign-in and serves ads. CrazyGames processes data under its own privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider(s), which store and process data on our behalf.
  • Other players, who see your display name, avatar, rating and match results.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile and gameplay history while you play. Usage events are kept for year. Abuse-protection data (IP addresses) expires within minutes.

Your choices and rights

You can change your display name, language and region in Settings at any time. Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email contact@brainfront.dev with your display name (and, for guests, the device and browser you play on). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

CrazyGames is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect more information from children than this policy describes. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when the game changes how it uses data, and change the date at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
